Year 9 Students Take Flight in Engineering Challenge
On Friday 14th March, our Year 9 students participated in an exciting engineering day hosted by Smallpeice Trust, an educational charity dedicated to inspiring young people to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
As part of Science Week, students were challenged to design and build their own aircraft, testing their problem-solving and teamwork skills. Once completed, they also had to create a compelling marketing pitch to present their designs.
The event provided a hands-on learning experience, sparking creativity and innovation. Students thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, gaining valuable insights into engineering and aerodynamics.
This engaging workshop not only enhanced their understanding of STEM subjects but also encouraged them to think critically about real-world applications of engineering.
