New Sporting Facilities Planned for St Clement Danes School

St Clement Danes School is delighted to be working closely with Hertfordshire Football Association and the Football Foundation on an application for funding towards the development of a new floodlit 3G Artificial Grass Pitch on the school site. The facility will aim to be in place for the start of our new academic year in September 2020 following planning and regulatory approvals. The pitch will provide a fantastic teaching and sporting facility for our school and will also be a high-quality asset to be used by local football clubs and community groups. The pitch will be built on land next to the existing AstroTurf and the existing grass pitches on our fields will also be improved. The school have spent the past 9 months working closely with Chorleywood Common Youth Football Club, who will be a key partner in the project.

Whilst we hope to be able to attract a large grant towards this amount, we will also be carrying out our own fund-raising initiatives during the next few months. We are very excited about this development and opportunity for our pupils and we look forward to sharing more information with you as we progress with the application over the coming months.

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years.
