Parents and carers work on STEM project with Year 8 students
Year 8 pupils attended a STEM workshop on Wednesday 10th May, when they worked on a small STEM project alongside their parents. The session was led by a member of the Smallpeice Trust education team and supported by apprentice and graduate engineers from Leonardo, the largest inward investor in the UK defence sector. The project involved designing and constructing a mini speaker, soldering components onto a mini PCB and finally testing the speaker with an MP3 player or mobile phone. Each student kept their project as a reminder of their achievement from the session.
For parents who are teachers or involved in science education - please note that St Clement Danes School is holding two science conferences for both secondary and primary science teachers and technicians.
