Tri-Golf Tournament Brings Local Schools Together

 

Recently, Year 4 students from three local primary schools - Russell, Chorleywood Primary, and Sarratt Primary - came together for an exciting tri-golf tournament hosted by Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership. The event was led by our Year 9 and 10 Sports Leaders, who did a fantastic job organising and guiding the younger students through the competition.

Despite concerns about the weather, we were fortunate to have clear skies as the rain stayed away, allowing the tournament to proceed without interruption. The students showcased great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, making the afternoon enjoyable for all involved.

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue engaging with local primary schools by hosting more events throughout the academic year. These will include fun runs, athletics, tag rugby, and cricket, providing a variety of opportunities for young students to stay active and involved in sports. All events will be led by our superb Sports Leader.

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. Adopted industry models like the Double Diamond Design Process and Scrum-based project sprints to enhance student learning. Established workshops with industry professionals to inspire students, especially girls, to pursue design careers. Key Takeaways for Educators Adapt curriculum to student needs and school culture.
