Year 10 and Year 11 Students Inspired by Dr Frost Maths Talk

 

On 18th September, Year 10 and Year 11 students had the exciting opportunity to attend an insightful talk led by the renowned Dr Frost. The event was held in the Barbirolli Hall. 

Dr Jamie Frost, the founder of Dr Frost Maths, captivated the audience with his unique approach to explaining complex mathematical concepts in a clear and engaging way. Known for his passion for teaching and innovative methods, Dr Frost shared insight into his career and problems that appear in everyday life that have surprisingly mathematical solutions. Many students found the talk both inspiring and helpful as they prepared for their upcoming GCSEs.

DR Frost also held a workshop with teachers from St Clement Danes as well as schools within the Trust and surrounding area. The workshop gave teachers a better understanding of how to use the platform. 

The school was thrilled to host Dr Frost Maths and is looking forward to offering more such enriching experiences to inspire and support students in their academic journey.

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. Adopted industry models like the Double Diamond Design Process and Scrum-based project sprints to enhance student learning.
