ESU Competition

St Clement Danes School showcased an impressive repertoire of public speaking skills in the second round of The English Speaking Union Competition on Thursday 6^th February.

 

Held in the Halle and Holborn rooms, the competition was a hugely successful evening that culminated in glowing praise from the judges for all the teams that included students from Aylesbury Grammar School, Abbot's Hill and Icknield Community College.

 

However, the evening belonged to the two teams from St Clement Danes. The judges were unanimous in their decision to give the victory to Team A consisting of Jonny M (Chairperson)  Mirren R (Speaker) and Toby L (Questioner) and Team B made up of Katie L (Chairperson), Matilda H-M (Speaker) and Katherine W (Questioner).

 

The students will now advance to a fiercely contested competition at the Regional Finals in March.
