Year 13 Prom

Smart suits and glamorous gowns were on display as our Year 13 students attended their leavers’ prom. The event was held at Hunton Park Hotel on Saturday, 25th June to celebrate the end of A Level exams and two years of hard work. The prom was made even more special given the impact of the pandemic on the students' sixth form experience, and we were delighted that this event was able to return for the first time since 2019.

Students arrived in style, with a handful of limousines seen pulling up to the hotel entrance shortly after 7:00pm. The evening was organised by Senior Prefect, Charlie Hogg, who was supported by Mrs O'Dowd to ensure our sixth formers had the SCD send-off they deserved, with entertainment including a professional photographer, magician, DJ and a ‘Magic Mirror’ photobooth throughout the course of the evening. There were plenty of photo opportunities as well, each providing a backdrop to capture lasting memories, including balloon arches, light-up letters and a balloon anchor!

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. Established workshops with industry professionals to inspire students, especially girls, to pursue design careers. Key Takeaways for Educators Adapt curriculum to student needs and school culture.
