Students perform at Notre Dame Cathedral

Staff and 50 students from St Clement Danes’ Choir and Jazz Band travelled to Paris for the annual summer music tour in July. The choir had previously participated in a “remote” audition to perform at the cathedral, by submitting a CD of their work, and were successful in being selected to perform at the cathedral during their tour. The students had a fantastic experience singing to hundreds of visitors of all nationalities. The tour offered a further wonderful opportunity for the students, when they sang at the very impressive Chartres Cathedral to a large number of visitors. This included members of a pilgrimage who had specifically attended the cathedral at that time to listen to the students’ performance.

Director of Music, Anna Stevens, said performing in such a unique environment was a wonderful, memorable experience for staff and students.

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years.
