New eBooks Platform in the LRC

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is delighted to announce a new eBook platform available for students to access 24/7. The Wheelers ebook collection complements the present selection of interesting and fascinating books already available. Students are now able to access over 1500 titles via RM unify or by simply downloading the ePlatform app on their tablet or mobile device. A big thank you to our Parents Association for funding this initiative.

The LRC has exciting new titles for all ages available for students to borrow including fantasy adventures, historical fiction with a twist, fast-paced thrillers and the Carnegie Medal shortlist and winners. We are hoping the students will be able to enjoy the resources the LRC has to offer, especially with the summer holidays fast approaching!

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. It discusses how Mr Hadley and Miss Yalley took ownership of the subject, implementing a new subject ethos based on trust, excellence, respect, and safety to foster student responsibility and independence. Key Initiatives & Changes Revamping Projects & Curriculum Introduced more challenging design projects at earlier years (Years 8 & 9). Adopted industry models like the Double Diamond Design Process and Scrum-based project sprints to enhance student learning.
