D of E leaders raise funds for Diamond Challenge

Well done to the school’s Duke of Edinburgh leaders, teaching staff Amanda Kirby and Carl Taylor, who participated in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme’s Diamond Challenge at the beginning of the school term. The challenge celebrates the Diamond Anniversary of the scheme; it is aimed at raising funds to help transform young lives and helping people who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

The leaders spent a weekend walking around the Chilterns with the aim of completing one hundred Geocaches.The teachers found 68 geocaches on Saturday 3rd September and a further 27 geocaches on Sunday 4th September.
