A Musical Extravaganza in Vienna!

On Sunday 14^th July eighty music students and staff travelled to Vienna for the 2019 Music Tour. The musicians had a fantastic experience when they performed a concert at the historic and prestigious St Stephen’s Cathedral. Our students also performed at the Doblhoff Park Music Festival and underneath the big wheel at the amusement park in Prater Park! This was an amazing opportunity for the students to perform at such diverse venues. The group also visited a number of local attractions during their visit, including a walk in the grounds of Belvedere Palace, trips to the Opera House and Hofburg, a cruise along the River Danube and a visit to Schoenbrunn Palace. The tour members even managed to experience the rides at Prater Park before their performance there later that day!

Music teacher Mr Butterfield said; “The students performed at their very best and each concert had its own unique atmosphere, from reverence and awe in St. Stephens Cathedral to joy and excitement in Prater Theme Park.“
