Success at national schools' championships
Several students took part in the ESAA national schools' championships at the weekend which took place in Birmingham at the Alexander Stadium.They represented Hertfordshire at the event, following their performances at the county championships earlier in the summer.
Scarlett Gammell, Year 9, came a superb 4th in the 75m hurdles with a time of 11.31s, running a fantastic race to come through the field of elite athletes.
Connor Flynn, Year 9 finished 6th in pole vault, clearing 3.15m.
Grace Hucknall, Year 10, came 20th in Long Jump with a leap of 5.05m.
Phoenix Chambers, Year 9 competed in the 100m heats and ran a time of 12s against a strong field.
Nick Savva, Year 10 competed in the 400m heats and ran a time of 53.54s, again, against a strong field of athletes.
Well done to them all - you did Hertfordshire and the school proud.
