National Schools Commissioner visits SCD

We were delighted to welcome Dominic Herrington, the newly appointed National Schools Commissioner to St Clement Danes this afternoon. Accompanied by Regional Schools Commissioner, Martin Post, he toured the school, visited maths and art lessons and spoke to the Head Boy and Girl team. In a meeting at the end of the day with Mr Sutherland, Dr Valentine and other senior staff, he spent time finding out more about the school and its role in forming the Danes Educational Trust. We would like to thank both our visitors for finding the time to visit and for showing such interest in our Trust, its schools and the St Clement Danes students.

Teachers commended for transforming Design & Technology education

We were delighted to read that our Design and Technology teachers, Miss Yalley and Mr Hadley were featured in the Design and Technology publication.  The article discusses the transformation of the Design & Technology (D&T) department at St. Clement Danes School over the past five years. It discusses how Mr Hadley and Miss Yalley took ownership of the subject, implementing a new subject ethos based on trust, excellence, respect, and safety to foster student responsibility and independence.
