Year 10 students train as Franklin Scholar Ambassadors

Year 10 students who have recently joined the Franklin Scholars programme attended their first training session on Monday 17th September. This programme of mentoring and literacy support by Year 10 students aims to boost, strengthen and stretch Year 7 pupils through their first year at secondary school. The scheme has been running very successfully at the school for a number of years and provides great benefits for both the Year 10 mentors and the new Year 7 students as they experience the transition from primary to secondary school.
